I booked using 12go, at first I wasn't sure about the van pick up as there wasn't any info about it during the check out. It turned out there's a number on the ticket that I can contact. It's best to install WhatsApp and use a phone number that's connected to WhatsApp because that's how they will communicate with you. A day or two beforehand, they will contact you (or you can contact them). They will pick up from your location, there will be couple of different people contacting you (such as the tour agent, the driver, the boat). The road transit is pretty good, they will pick up other passengers too, so it might take longer to reach the port - plus the traffic jam, so expect some delays. Even if you can't make it on time due to traffic and miss your boat, they will take you to the next boat. So it's best NOT to take the last boat! Even the local recommended the earliest boat as the weather is calmer (calmer waves) and there's less traffic jam. The boat crew will pack your luggage inside for you, so best to take things that you'd need before and during the trip, as you won't see your luggage until you reach lombok. Also best to check in earlier at the port (they have their own office next to the port). You'd need cash to pay for the port tax Rp30k/pp (Rp20k/pp for local). They will give you a name tag lanyard after check in. Once everything is ready, they will usher everyone to the jetty. The trip was smooth, considered on time. There is no outdoor seating area. Beware of sea sickness. They drop people off at Gili T, Gili Air and Lombok. The boat is clean with aircon, no weird smell, no smoking smell, so it's great. There are so many staff helping around so it's considered smooth (although the jetty can be very pack and it's also quite narrow for the amount of traffic it handles everyday).

My ferry trip with Wahana was a very enjoyable one. Strating with my booking enquiry with Eva (Customer service). She is not only fast in her response and also help to ensure that the arranged driver do pick us up at the airport in time. What a lovely lady that is attentive and goes all the way out to ensure the safety of Wahana Ferry customers. Eva, thank you very much for your help and I will only choose Wahana Ferry because you brighten up Wahana brand. Wahana Ferry is clean with good air condition facilities. The ferry operators are very friendly and helpful in helping their passengers with their belonging. It also got all the safety measure and safety jacket in the correct compartments. We did a round trip between Padang Bay port and Gili Air. The staff was courteous and friendly, taking care of the luggage and the passengers inside. The boat was in excellent condition, very comfortable with molded leather seats and air conditioning. It’s a bit chaotic on the docks before boarding, and even worse during disembarkation, but it’s part of the experience and consistent with our other experiences in Bali. On the return trip, there were a lot of waves, and one of our suitcases got wet to the point that we had to dry some clothes upon arriving at the hotel. The boats from other companies didn’t look to be in as good condition.

Wahana Virendra is a ferry company based in Indonesia , which provides big fast boats to travel to the various nearby islands from padang Bai, in Bali, Indonesia. I traveled in their fast boat, with my family, when going from Bali to Gili Trawangan island. The big fast boats have a sitting capacity of more than 100 seats. It took around one hour and 30 minutes for this journey. These fast boats are really very fast, and they jump & thud over the sea water, over the waves, making huge water splashs all around. The boats are fully air conditioned, comfortable and also have a washroom inside. One has to however bend a little before entering & exiting from the main entrance of the boat to avoid the head banging against the lesser height door of the boat. Wahana Virendra has daily route starting from Padang Bai harbour, in Bali. Their office at the Padang Bai Harbour is well maintained, well managed, with plenty of sitting space, toilets, big parking, and restaurants.

booking was not possible directly on the website of wahana, we had to book on 12go, bit more expensive. the reason could be payment options for german creditcard (?). but even the helpdesk worked very well! service on padang bai terminal and on the ferry is good and friendly, many staff, restrooms okay. bottled water included, well organized all the time. way back big delay of 1hour because of strong winds and waves and some trouble on the sea. staff was still friendly and tell about the problems. as an apologize for the inconvience they gave cookies or pringles at the end of the trip. great conflict management, we liked! thanks for well organized shipping that day! nature was so unexpected!
